Jack Winning Handicap Trophy

The handicap series, held in conjunction with the Silasec Trophy championship, was first held in 1999 at the 39th Interdominion in Brisbane. The contesting of a handicap series only occurred at the 3 times the event was held in Brisbane up until to 2011.

At this event, hosted by Lane Cove 12ft Sailing Club, with the venue being the Hunters Hill Sailing Club, a handicap series was contested but on top of that Michael Spies proposed that the event be formalised in the Silasec Rules and that the trophy he presented be officially known as the Jack Winning Handicap Trophy. It has been competed for ever since.
